Aircraft
The use of helicopters for mustering greatly increased after the Vietnam War. This was because the ex-pilots from the War were looking for jobs that involved flying. This became available from the 1970‘s Beef Crash, so Beef Farmers were looking for new ways to save money so that the farms could still stay open.
In this time, money was short and the employees barely got any pay. This was due to the scrawny amount that the cattle sold for at the sale yards. The lack of money also affected the transport of the animals. This pay was barely enough to pay for transportation costs. Soon after this, two diseases began to threaten the beef industry even further. These diseases were Brucellosis and Tuberculosis. A campaign was established and it advised that cattle had to be moved more frequently.
