15/o8/o8 Today my group (it was just Katie and me today because Jaiden was away) started doing some basic stuff (buttons, titles ECT) for our web page of the water park. As Jaiden was away today we didn’t get to do heaps but Katie got to do the background using photo impact xl and I got to do some of the buttons using paint, photo impact xl and the internet, that’s where I got a picture off www.webweaver.nu/clipart/trees.shtml">http://www.webweaver.nu/clipart/trees.shtml for free. My buttons I made were of some ladybugs and the picture I got off the internet was of a palm tree. Now I would like to learn how to improve some of the things I’ve made.

Today Katie and Jaiden showed some of their progress on our web page to me as I’ve been away for a bit. Personally I think some of the things they did were excellent and some were not .so I gave some suggestions to change them a bit ……and they did!

Today was a bit hectic trying to allocate who was going to what today. But we finally figured it out. We all ended up starting off doing our ‘about us’ bit .then we split and started doing some of the info stuff. Jaiden completed the ‘how we can solve it’ part and I started to do the ‘what is the problem page and Katie did some more stuff on the actual webpage. Katie also showed us some new backgrounds she made…..we (me and Jaiden) thought they were absolutely awesome. So we changed all the backgrounds. Today I think we accomplished quite a bit and on the weekend we are going to go and try write some more info. Today I don’t think I learnt how to do anything. But next week we are going to work extra hard to finish the webpage.

Today we just concentrated on getting all the writing done and we typed like CRAZY! Jaiden did the time line, and she transferred her about us and how u can solve it over onto Katie’s computer (her time line was very creative).Katie concentrated on getting everything onto the website today and she did a very good job of it. Today I finished my journal, and wrote up some more stuff for the web and made 3 buttons (I personally thought they were very cute).I transferred some things to Katie’s computer as well. This week we are going to try and squeeze in some extra time on the computers because it is due this Friday……..ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh! But I think we will do a great job and finish.

Today my group (Katie and Ella) worked on our website. We started our buttons titles and backgrounds for our Water Park Website. We could have done more work but Jaiden did not attend school today. Ella worked on the pictures and buttons using the programs Photo Impact XL, Paint and the internet for ideas. I made the backgrounds and the frames using Photo Impact XL, Adobe Dreamweaver CS3 and also the internet for ideas. I learned that for backgrounds you need to use Jpeg and the backgrounds need to be not so bright and not so boring. Next lesson I would like to finish off my backgrounds start on the titles and add the pictures. I think I worked well on the backgrounds.

Today Ella, Jaiden and I went and met Mrs. Helen Latham. She was nice and was a great help. I mentioned the triathlons to Mrs. Helen Latham and she may actually change something for us which is a big thing for us. The car park may get a pathway through it or get moved so we can do our triathlons. She might make the surface on the car park less harsh on your feet so you can run from the beach swim to the transition area. We forgot to bring the camera to take a photo with her to put on the webpage so we are going to try meet up with her again.

Today Ella was away for this computer session so it was just Jaiden and I working on the website. I was working on putting the titles on the webpage and I made the About Us button. I used Adobe Dreamweaver, Photo Impact XL and the helpful information off educate from Mr. Wright. I learnt how to put the buttons in the webpage and to centre the title. Jaiden was working on some more titles. She learnt development was not spelt developement so unfortunately she had to make another one.

Today we had to decide what we were going to do since we had so much to do. We started and finished our about us info but will have to check it more next computer session. I learnt that to hyperlink a button it had to know where it was going to get transported (my teacher helped me with that). I worked on the webpage fixing a couple of things up, wrote my ‘About Us’ page (I finished it) and helped with the ‘How you can help’ page. We all worked on the information together. Jaiden worked on the ‘How you can help’ page and the ‘About Us’ page for her information
Journal 02/09/08 Today we were really; really busy we had to add more information. We worked like crazy!!! J Jaiden did the timeline and made it really pretty. We transferred Jaiden’s about us, how you can help, Ella’s about us and it all went on to my account. Ella added some information for the front page. I also did that. Today I finished my journal and I put all the stuff into the website. I put some buttons on the webpage as well. I think we are going to finish this by this Friday. Journal 04/09/08 Today I was putting more information into the website. Jaiden and Ella were doing some other school work so they couldn’t help for this computer session. I made some more pages for the website and changed the backgrounds with our team’s decision. I put some pictures on the websiteand I also changed the title for the main page since it was not very clear to read.

JOURNAL 20/8/08
Today is the 20th of august 2008. Today I did the titles for my groups (Ella, Katie and I) webpage. Yesterday Katie Ella and I had a meeting with the council member. Her name was Mrs. Helen Latham; she gave us a lot of information about what is happening with the development. The titles went well; Katie got the titles transferred over to her file on the computer. I think I did them okay. I think they look very pretty with all the flowers and grass and insects. When we went and talked to Mrs. Latham, Katie and Ella told her about the triathlons and were the course goes, she then wrote the information down. She might make changes to the plans of designs for the development.

Today I found out that the title I made for our webpage was spelt incorrectly, I put an extra “e” in development so I had to make another one. I don’t think I got much done today. Ella was away for this computer session again, she is away because she is at the eisteddfod. Katie changes one of the backgrounds on the webpage, now it is a water decoration. She has done a spectacular job with the webpage, but we need Ella here so more things get done. Otherwise today was very good. Katie has now put a new button on the webpage it is very good. Also I made a how you can help title. I think that we are getting lots of things done considering we don’t get every day of the week to come to the computer labs. I think that making a webpage is a very good idea, though it is hard, it gets you thinking and teaches you to learn about how to use the computer correctly.

Today I changed the colour of the “about us” text and the “development on the Hervey Bay esplanade” text. I also made a new title, it is “contacts” and I made an “information” title. Ella was here today, I think that we got a fair bit of work done today.

We haven’t been to the computer labs to work on our assignment much this week, but it is still enough… if you work hard on what you’re doing. Today I worked on the about me page, I finish it. Then I started making a how you can help page and then gladly finished that as well. My entire group was here today which helped a lot to get things finished. I think we were supposed to finish the web page today… I am not sure. Mr. Wright is going to try and book the computer labs again so we can try and get things finished. I think that we as a group (Katie, Ella, and I) have worked very hard on this assignment. We did get lots done today. I am happy that we are speedily getting things done; we have already done part 6 of the assignment, but not intentionally we did it without a hassle and happily had a great chat to Mrs. Helen Latham. It was not just a chat though it was a very good meeting. She gave us lots of information. Yesterday Ella, Katie and I went to the council building and presented a card to Mrs. Helen Latham, we then got a couple of photos with her inside the council building at the table were we had the meeting. We then had other photos out the front of the council building. It was very helpful to be able to talk to Mrs. Helen Latham.

Today I made a timeline for our website, I nearly finished it though we had to save our work and do our daily update of our journal. (Not really daily) I didn’t do much this lesson except for nearly finish the timeline… it wasn’t very easy because we didn’t know the proper dates but we tried as hard as we could to estimate properly and get around the right time for each subject. We haven’t heard from Mrs. Latham, I don’t know if we have to see her again or chat to her about anything… I don’t think we do. Ella took care of the buttons today, I think she made 3. Katie worked more on the webpage; my information was transferred over to Katie’s computer. The things that were transferred over were the about me document and the how you can help document. We got straight into work today, I think we did a good job today all 3 of us did a very good job, we worked quickly and efficiently. Katie got all of the about us information onto the website today which helped a lot.

Today I didn’t do the website work. Instead I did my island of the blue dolphin’s story. I was doing that to enter it into a completion. I think Katie was working on the website today. Ella was also doing the story.
