About Us

    So what exactly is agriculture?

The dictionary says:"Agriculture is the production of food, feed, fiber and other goods by the systematic growing/harvesting of plants, animals and other life forms. "Agriculture" may commonly refer to the study of the practice of agriculture (also, "agronomy" or "agricultural science")."

So basically people farm crops and livestock for a living so that other people can have food and drink milk.

    • Agriculture refers to the farming of animals and plants

    • Plants are farmed in large quantities referred to as crops

    • Animals are farmed also in large quantities, this is known as live stock

    • The crops are protected to ensure that they are suitable for human consumption and are not eaten by local wildlife
    • When farming live stock, crops are planted and grown to feed the live stock, live stock is then killed for human consumption

    • Food can also be bought for the live stock if not enough land is in possession of the farmer

    • By installing a irrigation system crops can be greatly improved by being watered when needed
