Part II Sose Assignment Logic/Mathematical Survey
People Surveyed: 18           People Surveyed from these shops: Book Shop, Shoe Shop, Chemist, Dentist, Butchers, Jewelry Shop, Games Shop, Corner Store and Music Store.

Question 1- 13 people think it is worth staying open on Extended Trading Hours and 5 don’t.
Question 2- On Thursdays 3 shops have 0 people working, 8 shops have 1 person working,3 shops have 2 people working, 1 shop has 3 people working and 3 shops have 4 people working.
Question 3- 15 people would like to choose the hours that they stay open and 3 people don’t.
Question 4- On a scale of 1 to 10(1 being very bad and 10 being excellent) 6 people ranked the business they get on Extended Trading Hours 1, 3 people ranked it 2, 2 people ranked it 3, 4 people ranked it 5, 1 person ranked it 6, 1 person ranked it 8 and 1 person ranked it 9.
Question 5- On a scale of 1 to 10(1 being very bad and 10 being excellent) 10 people ranked the business they get on Extended Trading Hours compared to larger businesses 1, 2 people ranked it 2, 1 person ranked it 3, 2 people ranked it 4, 2 people ranked it 5, 1 person ranked it 7 and 1 person ranked it 8.
These survey results show that the staff do not like Extended Trading Hours, even though it is good for the customers because they can come whatever day they like. A lot of the staff think that their business is very bad compared to larger businesses and their business is very bad on Thursday nights and Sundays overall. Majority of the staff still think it is worth staying open for the little business they receive, but they want to be able to have a choice in the hours they stay open. On Thursday nights and Sundays there are not many staff working because the shop owners have to pay their employees double on Extended Trading Hours.
