Facts on smoking.

Tobacco-Free Kids created a bracelet (red) with the number 1,200 on it. That is the number of people who die each DAY due to smoking. Stats show that 4,400 people from the ages of 12-17 start smoking. Stats also show that:

Number of deaths per hour are 45

Cardiovascular diseases are almost 180,000.
Obstructive lung disease: chronic bronchitis and emphysemas are 65,000.

Risk for smokers dying from lung cancer, compared to someone that has never before smoked in their life time is:
Male: 22 
Female: 12

The average life expectancy cut off is around 7 years
